Our programs would not be successful without the tremendous dedication of our volunteers. BEST Kids strives to recognize each of our volunteers in a variety of ways.
We hold an annual mentor recognition event every January where mentors are presented with awards and honored for their service in the program from the past year. Our staff also selects a Mentor of the Month each month based on the efforts made by volunteers and the progress being made in the mentoring relationship. Please check out our Mentors of the Month highlighted here! A Mentor of the Year is selected from those honored as a Mentor of the Month and is recognized at our annual celebration and fundraising event, Art of the Matter, that is attended by BEST Kids stakeholders.
We also hold regular social gatherings for mentors to show our appreciation for the work they do, while also serving as a way for mentors to build connections with other mentors, leading to a stronger connection with our agency.
